Led Zeppelin Live
Published in Paperback by Collectors Guide Publishing Inc (January, 1996)
Author: Luis Rey
Average review score:

Great book for the Led Zeppelin Collector
This book is a dream come true for all Led Zeppelin collectors! I have spent much money and time over the years collecting live Led Zep recordings. Some of this has been wasted on bad quality shows or recordings. Luis Rey spells it all out in his book. Now a person can know what they are getting before they buy a live Led Zep recording. The cost of this book is less than the price of a typical Led Zep recording - it is worth its price in gold CDs!

Led Zeppelin: A Visual Documentary
Published in Paperback by Perigee (July, 1986)
Author: Paul Kendall
Average review score:

And I thought I knew everything about Led Zeppelin...
I thought I knew everything imaginable about Led Zeppelin and its bandmembers. Boy, was I wrong! There is great biographical information of each member, and hundreds of pictures that I had never seen before. Quotes from the bandmembers tell the story of Led Zeppelin from 1968 to today, as well as their pre- and post-Zeppelin lives. Kendall's comments are perfect, and he doesn't take away from the power of the photos that grace each page. To any self-proclaimed "Zep fan", this book is a must have!! To those who wish to get to know Led Zeppelin better, this book is a great way to begin. To those of you out there who are as obsessed with Jimmy Page as I am, there are some great pictures of him, and he looks absolutely adorable in every one! His smile makes my heart melt everytime I see it :-)

Led Zeppelin: Heaven and Hell: An Illustrated History
Published in Hardcover by Harmony Books (October, 1991)
Authors: Charles R. Cross, Erik Flannigan, and Neal Preston
Average review score:

Excellent! Required reading for any true Rock & Roll fan.
This book does an excellent job of telling the story of what Led Zeppelin was all about. The text is extremely well written, and the photographs are incomparable. Through mostly visual images anyone, even an outsider to the Zeppelin story can get an accurate idea of why the four band members did what they did, and the passion that went into their work. Led Zeppelin was a band made up of talented musicians who loved their music. They fought long and hard to stay true to their idea of what rock and roll was all about. Anyone who feels that Nirvana or Pearl Jam is the best rock (it's all rock, no matter what you call it) band ever needs to read this book. Eddie Vedder can fight Ticket Master "for the fans", and Kurt Cobain may have taken his own life, but remember, Led Zeppelin never released "Stairway to Heaven" as a single. Wonder why?

Led Zeppelin: In the Light
Published in Paperback by Cherry Lane Music (April, 1984)
Authors: Howard Mylett and Richard Bunton
Average review score:

the definitive led zeppelin book from a renowned zep author
Packed with over 150+ b&w and color photos in it's 96 pages, this informative and visually stunning book follows each member of Led Zeppelin from their musical influences on through to their historic first rehearsal, and on to the tragic death of the late great John Bonham in 1980. The text of the book follows the band from their earliest gigs (with RARE photos of those gigs, of which about 85% are exclusive to this book) and is a fascinating account of Led Zeppelin live in concert. I've been collecting Led Zeppelin books/rare magazines for years and I have to say this one of if not THE best books I own on Led Zeppelin. A must for any Zep fan!

LEGO Game Books: Rock Raiders (Puzzle Storybooks, LEGO)
Published in Paperback by DK Publishing (October, 1999)
Authors: Anna Knight, Roger Harris, and Dorling Kindersley Publishing
Average review score:

fun math
We bought this book for our 4 1/2 year old who loves Legos and is interested in math. The story is fun and exciting and shows practical applications for math concepts. The rock raiders crash on an unknown planet and must use the materials there to repair and refuel in order to continue on their mission. After going through this book a few times, our preschooler understood multiplication, division, using a calculator, estimating, and some basic word problems (how much fuel is required to go a given distance at a given rate). The excitement of the story makes the learning process FUN!

Lennon
Published in Hardcover by McGraw-Hill (June, 1987)
Author: Ray Coleman
Average review score:

John Wenston Ono Lennon's life from beging to end
Most biographors who have written about Mr. Lennon ether tell you very little or they tell you too much about his private life. This book did not do that it told you about his acheivements and it also told you about his faults. When Mr. Coleman wrote this book he showed his love for the person and not the name. There have been writters who have written in envy or hate. There is not one part in this book that is written under thoes pretences. This book helps you see his human side and how giving, caring, and how loving this man was. It told you about his life from childhood right up to his death. I would not recomend this book for any one who can not stand to read a verv long time but if you really are interested in John Lennon, out of all the books I've read this would be the one I would recomend

Leonard Cohen Anthology
Published in Sheet music by Hal Leonard (January, 1997)
Author: Leonard Cohen
Average review score:

The Singer Songwriter's Reference, A Must Have
As I have always been attracted to Leonard Cohen's mysterious poem and song writing; now I can and you too, experience the thrill of playing guitar or piano to Leonard's classic songs such as, Sister's of Mercy, Suzanne, Hey That's No Way to Say Goodbye, etc. We can do justice to these compositions since chord charts are provided making each page in this anthology easy to read with melodies - accurately -chord matched. In other words, it's not a fake book. Lyrics, though not text underlayed, can be manipulated under first verses, especially if you are a guitar player and are not in need of the piano treble and bass systems. Regardless, you won't be let down. Make this Anthology of Mr. Cohen's life's work masterpieces part of your creative library. Ok, I've gotta go now, Bird on A Wire is hovering over my guitar.

The Light at Tern Rock
Published in Hardcover by Peter Smith Pub (January, 1995)
Author: Julia L. Sauer
Average review score:

The True Meaning of Christmas
"The Light at Tern Rock" is an excellent book to read to your class or have your class read as a trade book during the holiday season. It teaches students to think of others at this time of year and not to always concentrate on themselves. It is suitable for third through fifth graders. It also gives the reader the feeling for living in a lighthouse and what life was like for these people living in desolation. It is an excellent history lesson along with a strong moral lesson. You never tire of the words year after year.
